I love this Swiss Airline Intro movie. It's one of the first video they showed to me in class during my flight attendant formation.
I started in July 2011, we were around 20 people in my class and we went to school for about 1 month and then we had introduction flights and then other theory classes, checks and a lot more.
I don't want to talk about the formation but I would like to concentrate more about what this job gave to me, cause it gave me so much! I am so thankful to my ex colleagues who were like a big family to me and my bosses, they were just amazing. This job took me all around the world and made me the independent young woman I am now. I discovered the world from north to south and from east to west. Every single place gave me a little something: a precious memory, an experience, a reason to smile or reflect. I also had hard times, but we all have that moments, independent from where, which job and so on, but at the end of the day you will realize that the beautiful moments will cheer you when you think about them and the bad ones are the teachers of your life, they will make you stronger and will give you a lesson, an hard one sometimes... you really should make treasure of those.
I would like to share some pictures of some of the destination I went during these last 3 years.

I would like to share some pictures of some of the destination I went during these last 3 years.
Here are some pictures:
-Lotus Temple, New Delhi, India
-Temple of heaven, Pekin, China
-Viktoria Peak, Hong Kong
-The Bean, Chicago, USA
-Safari in Johannesburg, Africa
-Tokyo Tower, Tokyo, Japan
-Saint Basil's Cathedral, Moscow, Russia
-The Hollywood sign, Hollywood, USA
-The Brooklyin Bridge, NY, USA
-Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, Thailand
-The sea lions, San Francisco, USA
There is so many more pictures but I just picked the most significant ones for me.
At the beginning my favorites flights were the America ones. I love America and I used to study english in Fort Lauderdale, near to Miami for 6 months. I really like the people's easy going life style, their hospitality and so much more. My first long haul flight was to Los Angeles and I haven't been there before so I was very excited for 12 hours straight, I couldn't wait to arrive and go to the beach!
After 1 year I started to enjoy Asia flights, as I wrote in my previous blog, I started to love China so much that I decided to request Asia instead of America destinations.
I think my first Asia destination was Hong Kong and I have so many beautiful memory. I actually worked with a very good friend/colleague of mine to go there and then we stayed together the whole 3 days. He already knew Hong Kong very well so he took me everywhere and showed me a lot of wonderful places.
If you go there, don't forget to go to the Viktoria's Peak at night! The view from there is just breath taking, normally is always windy up there so you would better take a jacket or something in the 'cooler' seasons.
The flight I enjoyed less was probably India and Africa, don't get me wrong, they are beautiful, but I just wasn't attracted the way I was with other places. I wasn't a Japan flights fan too, not cause I don't like Japan but only for the fact that the flight is very long, and I suffer the jet lag more when I fly east than when I fly west, so I couldn't work out that problem in the 3 days (the layover duration). In Japan I used to spent 2 whole night looking at the ceiling and rolling in the bed, nothing was working to make me sleep, I also tried to go to the gym very late, run like crazy, take a hot relaxing shower and then...stay awake all night.... I really hope to go to Japan again but with more time at my disposition so that I have at least 2-3 whole days. Cause sometimes the problem of being a flight attendant is that, we only have 1 to 3 days of layover so no matter what we WANT to visit the place, also if we cannot sleep and we are super jet legged or we just landed 1 hour ago, we still WANT to go out, enjoy the city, take pictures, go eat and so on. So is a big effort for our body to do that on and on.
Please be gentle with flight attendant next time you are on board, sometimes they can look very apathetic and not in a good mood but I promise they are really giving their best to look at least ok at your sight. Maybe they couldn't sleep for 2 nights in a row and when they arrive back home they already have to prepare another piece of luggage to go to the opposite side of the world to do exactly the same thing. But flight attendants normally love their job, some couldn't live without it so they are friendly and patient.
Hope you enjoyed it.

Lisa
